ABOUT THE SECOND CHANCE PROJECT

The project aims to enhance people in purposeful recovery by securing and supporting their alcohol/drug free life by developing personally rewarding structured training, counselling and self-help, which will provide real benefit to them, their families and the community.

All staff are highly trained and have acknowledged expertise in their fields. They are selected not only for their qualifications and training, but also for their personal attributes and highly relevant experience. We demand their total commitment to the service user’s reintegration back into society.

We also have full Care Commission registration.

HISTORY OF THE PROJECT

Alex Rae, former professional footballer, has for years considered the possibility of an abstinence based program in the West of Scotland and in 2006 started to make plans to bring his plans to fruition. He approached Keira MacDougall of KJM Events Ltd and together they embarked on a challenging fundraising campaign to raise the funds to get the Project opened.

The Project opened on 6th May 2007 - results so far have been far better than even we expected.
